Bookkeeper (US Accounting)

                Description:
            
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with US accounting standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recording day-to-day financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial reporting processes for US-based clients.
This role requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with US GAAP principles, and hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
 Key Responsibilities
Record daily financial transactions and maintain general ledgers
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with US GAAP
Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets and profit & loss statements
Monitor cash flow and identify discrepancies
Ensure compliance with federal and state financial regulations
Support tax preparation by organizing financial documents
Collaborate with accountants and auditors during audits
 Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper for US-based clients
Knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial data
Good written and verbal communication skill Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience in payroll processing (e.g., ADP, Gusto)
Familiarity with US tax filing requirements
Experience working with remote or outsourced accounting teams
