The Materials Controller is responsible for managing the flow of materials within the organization, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and supporting efficient production and operational processes. This role is critical for maintaining supply chain integrity and cost-effectiveness.

* Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to prevent shortages or overstocking.
* Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of materials.
* Implement and maintain inventory control systems and procedures, including cycle counting and physical inventory reconciliation.
* Analyze material usage, forecasts, and lead times to optimize ordering and stock rotation.
* Identify and resolve material discrepancies, quality issues, and delivery delays with suppliers.
* Prepare and present reports on inventory status, material costs, and supply chain performance.
* Develop and implement strategies for waste reduction and continuous improvement in material handling processes.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to material storage and handling.
* Participate in supplier performance reviews and contribute to supplier selection processes.


* Academics in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in materials control, inventory management, or supply chain operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of inventory management principles, including Just-In-Time (JIT) and MRP/ERP systems.
* Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to material handling.
