Building SurveyorAn established building consultancy is seeking a Building Surveyor to join its East London office. This Building Surveyor role offers exposure to a varied caseload of commercial and residential instructions, working alongside experienced colleagues on surveys, contract administration and dilapidations across London.
The CompanyThis employer is a multidisciplinary property consultancy operating across London and the South East, advising commercial and residential clients. The successful Building Surveyor will join a small, collaborative team delivering building surveying and project management services from a well-established East London base.
The RoleThe Building Surveyor will manage a varied portfolio of instructions, working closely with senior colleagues on technical delivery. This Building Surveyor will also liaise directly with clients, contractors and consultants. The role offers scope to develop supervisory experience over time. Key responsibilities include:
Conducting building surveys, condition reports and schedules of condition
Administering contracts under JCT forms on refurbishment and repair projects
Preparing dilapidations assessments for landlords and tenants
Undertaking measured surveys and defect diagnosis
Attending site inspections and client meetings across London
Supporting junior team members on technical matters
The CandidateThe successful Building Surveyor will hold a relevant professional qualification and have gained experience within a consultancy environment. Brandon James is keen to speak with a Building Surveyor who can demonstrate:
Experience across commercial and residential building surveying instructions
Strong technical report writing and client communication skills
A proactive, organised approach to managing multiple instructions
Confidence working independently while collaborating within a small team
A full UK driving licence
In ReturnÂ£50,000 - Â£60,000 dependent on experience, plus:
Car allowance
