A Quantity Surveyor is required to join an established construction consultancy in London. This Quantity Surveyor opportunity suits a commercially focused professional looking to manage costs across a varied project portfolio, working within a collaborative team that values accuracy, commercial awareness and clear client communication.
The Company
The business is a multidisciplinary construction consultancy operating across London, delivering projects across residential, commercial and public sector developments. The Quantity Surveyor will join a team supporting projects across a range of sectors, working alongside commercial and project management colleagues in a collaborative, supportive environment.
The Role
The Quantity Surveyor will manage cost planning, procurement and contract administration from inception through to final account. This Quantity Surveyor role includes:
- Preparing cost plans, valuations and interim payments
- Agreeing variations and change control with clients and subcontractors
- Monitoring budgets and producing accurate cost reports
- Supporting procurement activity across the supply chain
- Liaising with site teams, contractors and clients to maintain commercial performance throughout each project
The Quantity Surveyor
The successful Quantity Surveyor will bring strong commercial awareness, numeracy and a methodical approach to contract administration, ideally with at least two years' relevant experience in a consultancy or contracting environment. A construction-related qualification is expected, along with sound knowledge of standard forms of contract. Key skills include:
- Managing subcontractor accounts and valuations
- Producing accurate cost reports and forecasts
- Confident communication with clients, consultants and site teams
- Working knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts

£45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.
