About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to lead the development of user-facing features, mentor junior engineers, and help shape our frontend architecture. You'll work closely with product, design, and backend teams to ship performant, accessible, and maintainable web applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable frontend architecture for our web application(s)
- Translate designs and requirements into high-quality, reusable components
- Own performance optimization (load times, rendering, bundle size)
- Collaborate with backend engineers on API design and data contracts
- Write and maintain unit/integration tests; champion testing best practices
- Conduct code reviews and mentor mid-level/junior engineers
- Drive technical decisions on frameworks, tooling, and best practices
- Identify and fix technical debt proactively
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional frontend development experience
- Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern framework (React, Vue, or Angular)
- Strong understanding of state management (Redux, Zustand, Pinia, etc.)
- Experience with responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility (WCAG) standards
- Solid grasp of REST/GraphQL API integration
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
- Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or similar)
- Strong communication skills — able to explain tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience with Next.js, Vite, or similar build tooling
- Familiarity with design systems and component libraries (Storybook)
- Backend or full-stack exposure (Node.js, NestJS, etc.)
- Experience working in a startup or fast-paced product environment
- Contributions to open-source projects
