The Role
As the Senior Processing Manager, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end management of the PM processing shift, ensuring freight is unloaded, processed, sorted and dispatched safely, accurately and on time. You'll oversee labour planning, productivity, safety, operational compliance, and team performance, while continuously driving improvements across the operation.

This is not a desk-bound management position. We're looking for a leader who is visible, engaged, and actively involved in the operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership
  • Lead the end-to-end PM processing operation
  • Ensure efficient unloading, scanning, sortation and dispatch activities
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight movements
  • Drive on-time departures and service performance
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks quickly

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach and develop supervisors and operational teams
  • Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable
  • Recruit, onboard and train new employees
  • Foster a culture of ownership, safety and continuous improvement
  • Workforce Planning & Productivity
  • Manage shift rostering and labour allocation
  • Monitor productivity, labour costs and overtime
  • Use operational data to drive informed decision-making
  • Deliver continuous improvements in efficiency and performance

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion workplace health and safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility obligations
  • Maintain process discipline and operational accuracy
  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure procedures are followed

You will have experience leading high-volume operations within:

  • Transport & Logistics
  • Freight & Distribution
  • Warehousing
  • Parcel Processing
  • Supply Chain Operations

You will also bring:

  • Strong leadership and people management capability
  • Experience leading large shift-based teams
  • Advanced rostering and labour planning skills
  • A strong understanding of productivity and cost management
  • Experience using operational reporting and KPIs to drive results
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong safety and compliance awareness
  • The ability to work autonomously and lead from the front
