The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially astute Residence Manager to lead a large residential aged care service, overseeing a substantial workforce, complex clinical operations, and a significant resident community. This role is ideally suited to a proven aged care leader who thrives in a large-scale environment and possesses exceptional clinical, operational, and people leadership capabilities.
You will be responsible for driving a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, engagement, and resident-centred care while leading and developing a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes for residents, families, and staff.
This is a highly visible leadership role offering the autonomy, support, and resources required to make a meaningful difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for a large residential aged care home.
- Drive excellence across clinical governance, quality, compliance, and resident outcomes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a large multidisciplinary workforce, fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and high performance.
- Oversee workforce planning, occupancy, budgeting, and operational performance.
- Ensure accreditation readiness and compliance with all aged care regulatory requirements.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and key stakeholders.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance care quality, resident experience, and organisational performance.
- Lead quality, risk management, and clinical governance programs across the home.
About You
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Proven experience managing a medium to large residential aged care facility. (100+ beds min)
- Strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards, AN-ACC funding, and contemporary clinical governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated success leading accreditation processes and achieving positive quality outcomes.
- Exceptional people leadership skills with a track record of building engaged, high-performing teams.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- A passionate and visible leader who leads from the front and inspires those around them.
