About the Role
As Finance Officer, you'll play a critical role in managing resident accounts, accommodation payments, government funding reconciliations and accounts receivable activities. Working closely with residents, families, Services Australia and internal stakeholders, you'll ensure accurate financial administration while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities


You will be responsible for:

  • Managing resident admissions, discharges and billing adjustments.
  • Processing and reconciling accommodation payments, RADs, DAPs and resident accounts.
  • Monitoring outstanding resident fees, government subsidies and debtor balances.
  • Investigating and resolving account discrepancies, billing issues and payment queries.
  • Maintaining accurate resident financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Completing monthly reconciliations, reporting activities and aged receivables analysis.
  • Reconciling government funding payments and investigating variances.
  • Liaising with residents, families, legal representatives, Services Australia and operational teams.
  • Supporting audit requirements, compliance obligations and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring a combination of aged care financial knowledge, strong organisational skills and a genuine passion for providing excellent service.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience within the Residential Aged Care sector.
  • Working knowledge of RADs, DAPs, accommodation payments and resident billing processes.
  • Understanding of aged care funding and compliance requirements.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Customer-focused approach with an exceptional telephone manner.
