As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines. You will be responsible for performing planned and reactive maintenance on high-speed packaging and processing equipment, while driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency and minimise downtime.
The RolePerform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and rapid breakdown response on food processing and packaging lines.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, including PLCs, motors, drives, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
Ensure compliance with BRC food hygiene standards, HACCP principles, and safety regulations.
Drive continuous improvement projects and conduct root-cause analysis to enhance operational efficiency.
Support machine upgrades, line modifications, and new equipment installations.
The PersonTime-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 / HNC in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering.
Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in food manufacturing, beverage, or FMCG sectors.
Strong fault-finding skills with solid multi-skilled capabilities; 18th Edition qualification is advantageous.
Working knowledge of food safety guidelines and cleanroom standard practices.
Hardworking and friendly with a proactive mindset and strong communication skills.
