OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Operating across Ireland and Europe, the organisation delivers mission-critical infrastructure solutions for leading multinational clients within the Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Life Science and Food sectors. THE POSITION

The Operations Director will report to the Managing Director and assume overall responsibility for leading operational performance across the organisation's European business. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality services, commercial performance and operational excellence. They will lead a team of direct reports while providing wider leadership to Project Managers, Supervisors and operational personnel, working closely with colleagues across Commercial, Finance and Logistics to ensure seamless execution of customer programmes.

The role will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement, strengthening governance, managing operational budgets and resources, enhancing customer relationships and ensuring compliance with all relevant quality, safety and regulatory standards. As a member of the senior leadership team, they will contribute to board-level discussions, support strategic growth initiatives and provide visible leadership across European operations through regular travel and customer engagement.

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will possess a relevant third-level qualification together with a proven track record in a senior operational leadership role within Data Centre construction or closely related critical infrastructure environments. They will demonstrate extensive experience managing complex, multi-country projects, leading high-performing teams and delivering operational excellence within demanding customer environments. A strong commercial understanding, experience in cost control, forecasting and governance, together with the ability to build trusted relationships with customers and key stakeholders, will be essential.

Candidates will be strategic, commercially astute and highly organised leaders with outstanding communication and influencing skills. They will bring a collaborative leadership style, a strong work ethic and the flexibility to travel regularly throughout Europe. Experience within Data Centre construction environments is considered essential for success in this appointment.
