Our client, a prominent engineering business, is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead their dynamic team in Plymouth. This role offers the unique opportunity to manage end-to-end supply chain operations across multiple distribution channels. With a focus on enhancing efficiency and reducing costs, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping supply chain strategies. What Your Days Could Look Like:

• Lead end-to-end supply chain operations across multiple distribution channels
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
• Manage and develop a team of logistics and procurement professionals
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and third-party logistics providers
• Oversee contract negotiations and SLA management
• Produce regular performance reports and present findings to senior leadership
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function

Required Skills:

• Demonstrable experience in a senior supply chain or logistics management role
• Strong leadership and people management capability
• Deep understanding of procurement, inventory management, and distribution operations
• Excellent analytical and commercial skills
• Confident communicator at all levels, including senior stakeholders
• Proficient in ERP and supply chain management systems

Desirable Skills:

• CIPS qualification or equivalent
• Experience managing international supply chains
• Exposure to S&OP processes
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment

Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field

Essential Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior supply chain or logistics management role

Essential Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in ERP and supply chain management systems
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and decision-making
- Commercial acumen to manage budgets and optimise costs
- Effective communication skills for engaging with senior stakeholders
- Capability in procurement, inventory management, and distribution operations
