Job Title: Operations Director
Location: Plymouth, Devon (hybrid)
Salary: £85,000 per annum
Employment Type: Full-time

In the competitive landscape of manufacturing, our client is a key player seeking an Operations Director to spearhead operational excellence across multiple sites. This role demands a strategic leader capable of driving efficiency, cost reduction, and compliance, while reporting directly to the CEO. The successful candidate will influence enterprise-level outcomes, ensuring the organisation maintains its market-leading position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the operational function across multiple manufacturing sites
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Own the P&L for operations and report directly to the CEO
• Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team
• Manage relationships with key suppliers and strategic partners
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all sites

Required Expertise

• Proven track record at General Manager, Operations Director or equivalent C-suite level with full P&L accountability
• Proven track record of leading operations at a senior level within manufacturing or logistics
• Strong commercial acumen with P&L ownership experience
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to drive change and embed a culture of continuous improvement
• Degree educated or equivalent senior leadership experience

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodology
• Exposure to multi-site operations
• Previous experience working within a PE-backed or growth environment
