A leading organisation in Malaysia is seeking a Head of Supply Chain to oversee the end-to-end supply chain management, working closely with the Country Manager and Management team to drive profitable growth. What you'll do:

As Head of Supply Chain in Malaysia, you will play a central role in shaping the future of the organisation’s supply chain operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve strategic planning and execution across multiple competency streams including demand planning, procurement, logistics network design, supplier relationship management, customer service enhancement, route-to-market support, target setting for operational metrics, budget oversight, and continuous improvement. Success in this role requires you to build strong collaborative relationships both internally with commercial teams and externally with suppliers across Southeast Asia. You will be responsible for nurturing talent within your team by developing their functional expertise as well as managerial capabilities. By optimising cost structures and inventory levels while maintaining high standards of quality and service delivery, you will contribute significantly to the company’s profitable growth. Your ability to coordinate resources effectively and foster a supportive environment will ensure that all aspects of the supply chain operate efficiently and responsively.

• Create and drive the supply chain strategy for the business unit, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and long-term goals.
• Lead downstream operations including demand planning, forecasting, procurement, and engagement with upstream supply points through to deployment.
• Design and manage logistics networks, overseeing physical flows such as transport, warehousing, inventory management, and third-party logistics relationships.
• Research, negotiate, maintain, monitor, and regularly evaluate contracts with external suppliers to ensure reliable supply of goods and services that meet quality standards.
• Oversee the complete order-to-cash process by defining service packages and collaborating closely with customers to drive growth through shared innovation.
• Support commercial teams in delivering route-to-market strategies such as store expansion or distributor rationalisation.
• Establish targets for lead times, inventory levels, logistics costs, and service standards; monitor performance against these goals across all supply chain activities.
• Supervise demand forecasting, customer service delivery, inventory management processes, warehousing operations, logistics coordination, transport scheduling, and distribution planning.
• Manage the overall supply chain budget by monitoring cost effectiveness and prioritising spending to optimise resources.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of supply chain operations while fostering a culture of collaboration among internal teams.

What you bring:

To excel as Head of Supply Chain in Malaysia you will bring extensive experience gained from at least ten years working across various streams such as planning, customer service delivery and logistics management. Your background includes several years at senior management level where you have successfully led multi-disciplinary teams through complex operational challenges. You possess deep expertise in quality control practices along with crisis response strategies that safeguard operational continuity. Your leadership style is grounded in empathy—serving as an inspiring role model who coaches others towards excellence while living core organisational values every day. Commercial awareness coupled with advanced project management skills enables you to balance resource allocation efficiently amidst shifting priorities. • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in supply chain or operations roles covering planning, customer service, logistics management with proven people management skills.
• At least 3 years spent in a senior management position overseeing multi-functional teams within supply chain environments.
• Demonstrated excellence in supply chain management including demand planning, customer service delivery, logistics coordination and quality-oriented practices.
• Comprehensive understanding of quality control procedures as well as crisis management protocols and operational health & safety requirements.
• Exceptional leadership abilities that serve as a positive role model for organisational behaviour; commitment to coaching others effectively.
• Sound commercial acumen combined with superior project management skills enabling efficient time allocation across competing priorities.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement processes alongside familiarity with manufacturing technology relevant to modern supply chains.
• Strong organisational skills allowing effective coordination of activities and resources including performance management systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams while promoting inter-personal trust and mutual support among colleagues.
• Hands-on approach to management that emphasises active involvement in daily operations while encouraging team development.
