The Role
- Are you an experienced operations leader who thrives in high volume, fast paced environments?
- This role places you at the heart of a major data centre construction logistics program, where you will lead both the on site storeroom operation and the rollout of a new purpose built warehousing facility.
You will own end to end warehouse and inventory operations—across people leadership, safety governance, operational performance, and cross-functional workflow management.
Success in this role requires a leader who can combine strategic planning with strong hands on execution.
About the Program
This multi-phase logistics program manages all material movement, storage, and inventory control for a hyperscale national data centre construction project.
Phase 1 – Onsite Storeroom Operations (Active Now)
You will oversee:
- Inventory receiving, inspection, processing, and issuance to contractors
- Accurate tracking through formalised stock control processes
- Set up and governance of a fully operational, compliant storeroom
- Safe, organised storage of high value construction materials
Phase 2 – New Warehouse Establishment
You will oversee:
- Establishment of a warehouse with up to 7,000 pallet positions
- High volume inbound materials requiring breakdown and verification
- Oracle ERP–driven inventory management providing full traceability
- Daily consolidated deliveries aligned with construction sequencing
- Ongoing cycle counts, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
What You’ll Be Doing (Not Limited To)
Operational Leadership
- Lead daily operations across extended shifts (7am–7pm, 6 days per week)
- Set priorities, allocate resources, and meet service-level requirements
- Proactively identify risks and implement corrective action
People Management
- Recruit, onboard, train, and roster a diverse team
- Coach supervisors and team members to scale with project growth
- Build a high performance culture focused on safety, accuracy, and delivery
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Oversee receiving, picking, packing, delivery, and stock movement
- Ensure accurate and compliant issuing of materials
- Maintain safe, organised, audit ready storage environments
- Protect stock integrity through cycle counts and stocktakes
Governance, Safety & Compliance
- Lead and enforce strong safety standards
- Oversee compliance workflows, registrations, and documentation
- Ensure full compliance with audit, governance, and project requirements
Stakeholder Coordination
Act as the primary liaison between operations, project teams, logistics partners, and internal support functions
Participate in daily and weekly planning, coordination, and customer meetings
Systems, Reporting & Data Accuracy
- Oversee Oracle ERP inventory processes and data accuracy
- Generate operational reporting to support forecasting and planning
- Identify workflow improvements and drive best practice processes
Flexibility & Scalability
- Scale operational capacity to match project requirements
- Lead rapid workforce expansion during peak periods
- Maintain readiness for changing project needs

About You
Only applicants with a strong background in warehouse and logistics operations will be considered.
Essential:
- 5+ years in operations leadership (DC or project-based)
- Experience leading warehouse teams in high volume, dynamic environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to excel under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities
- Hands on, solutions driven leadership style
Highly Desirable:
- Experience launching or scaling operations in a growth-phase environment
- Strong ERP/WMS experience (Oracle preferred)
