Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Key Stage 2 Teacher to join our vibrant school community. This role is crucial in shaping the educational experiences of our Year 3 to Year 6 students, helping them to achieve their fullest potential. As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum that engages and inspires earners. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive learning environment that encourages students to develop their skills, creativity, and confidence. This position demands a strong commitment to fostering a love of learning, as well as the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students in your class. You will also be expected to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff, effectively communicating progress and any concerns. Additionally, you will take part in continuous professional development to further enhance your teaching practice. Your role will be instrumental in preparing students for their transition to Key Stage 3 and instilling a sense of responsibility and independence in their learning journey.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and encourages student participation.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of all learners in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop integrated curriculum and school-wide initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment that promotes respect and inclusion.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 2 students is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflection on teaching practice.
