Maintenance Engineer – Food Manufacturing
Location: Southall
Salary: ?50,000 - ?56,000
Hours: Monday to Saturday, 2pm – 10pm
We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join one of the UK’s leading food manufacturing companies. This business supplies a wide range of high-quality products to both the retail and foodservice sectors and is committed to maintaining excellence across its production operations.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a fast-paced, hands-on role where you’ll be essential in keeping production moving, minimising downtime, and ensuring machinery runs at peak efficiency.
What You’ll Be Doing
Delivering effective engineering support to maintain continuous operation of plant and equipment
Responding quickly to breakdowns and carrying out fault diagnosis for first-time fixes
Maintaining a range of equipment, including conveyor belts, ceiling machines, filling machines, depositors, metal detectors, steam cookers, and mixers
Identifying opportunities to improve engineering processes and recommending changes
Performing autonomous and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring all work is fully documented
Carrying out scheduled inspections to prevent contamination risks due to equipment damage
Working with key machinery such as flow wrappers, gearboxes, and pumps
What’s On Offer
A permanent, full-time role with a consistent 2pm–10pm shift, Monday to Saturday
Competitive salary of ?56,000

What We’re Looking For
Strong experience as a Maintenance Engineer in the food manufacturing or FMCG sector
Full qualification with 18th Edition certification
Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems and confidence in reading electrical diagrams
Skilled in using electrical and hand tools effectively
Excellent fault-finding, troubleshooting, and critical thinking abilities
Experience in maintaining and testing electrical systems in a production setting
A clear understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
