Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain data centre equipment including servers, storage devices, and networking hardware.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on all data centre systems.
- Respond to and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Assist in the installation and configuration of new hardware and software.
- Implement security measures to protect data integrity and facilities.
- Collaborate with IT staff to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a data centre technician or similar role in IT support.
- Strong knowledge of server and storage technologies, including virtualization.
- Familiarity with data centre infrastructure management (DCIM) tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose technical issues effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
